Writing a (.img) file to a USB in Windows

This one is quick and easy but requires a 3rd party piece of software. Just enough detail here to need a page break... enjoy the sweet gooey goodness of knowledge after the break!



Download the Win32 Disk Imager here

Unzip the program into a folder and run the application.


Next select the (.img) you want to write to the USB stick and the drive letter of the USB.


Once you have everything settled just the way that you want it, press write...


Wait for the write to finish and you are done. Eject the USB stick and use it to boot your device.
